We’re Celebrating our 10-Year Anniversary on October 1, 2022 12pm to 10pm
Since opening night, our stage has been home to hundreds of improv, musical, clown, and sketch teams from San Diego and beyond. We’ve produced over 5,000 comedy shows, with over 20,000 show tickets sold. More than 2,500 students have found more courage and joy in our Introduction To Improvisation classes. Hundreds have enjoyed all six levels to become graduates.
Because our students are the heart of our community, our anniversary theme is “10th grade.” We’re paying homage to various high school experiences like Recess, Detention, Chemistry 101, and Varsity squad. A highlight of the day will be the 9pm Found Family show, the theatre’s longest-running show (formerly The World According To), featuring all current and past Artistic Directors. Special returning guests include Kat Brown Dudley, Jessica Farber, Sergio Lopez, Mike Schramm, Shawn Roop, Jason Casey, and many more!
At the event, we will officially launch our new outreach initiative, Improv Project San Diego (IPSD). IPSD’s mission is to leverage the transformational power of improv to advance social justice in San Diego, focusing on youth and young adults. This will be achieved by offering low to zero-cost improv training, team building, and leadership training to social service organizations and their clients. A portion of the proceeds from the Improvathon will help fund the launch of this new social impact project. Learn more about the project and find out how you can be a part of it at the event!
Tickets are $10 per show or $80 for the entire marathon including the 10pm after party.
