Join us on November 23rd from 10 am to 1 pm for a one time opportunity to play and learn like a Hip-Hop pro, improv style!

This workshop is great for those who want to try musical improv in a low pressure environment, or if you want to infuse #improvswag into your normal performances. It’s all about confidence and belief in you!

What you will learn: stage-worthy words and how to rhyme them; fantastic rhythms and how to find them; being hype AF about your choices; finding volume  notch 11 on your voices; and how to have FUN every damn second you’re in the mix. 

Experience: All levels! We’ll start with the basics of single words but quickly ramp up complexity into couplets, finishing off the rhymes of our partners, and ultimately freestyling as your scene reaches its climax. Musical experience is a plus and musical improvisers will definitely have a few new tools on their belts by the end, but it’s not required. 

This will be a very active workshop with lots of time on our feet. Expect to sweat, dress appropriately, and bring water!
