Community is what we are all about at Finest City Improv. As we grow our improv community, we are looking for more ways to offer more opportunities for everyone to play more!
We are OPENING EARLIER for more shows AND MORE JAMS!
We’ve expanded our nightly schedule to give more slots for more shows! Instead of starting shows at 8pm we are starting at 7pm on most nights. Bar opens for happy hour specials at 6:30 each night (except Sunday). We are also adding two more open jams per week — that’s 3 per week now! Plus, a LADIES ONLY jam the first Saturday of each month.
Each night provides a special comedy “flavor”!
Check out the chart below to see how we’ve grouped our shows into themes. See you at the theater, and don’t forget we have memberships so you can see unlimited shows for a very low monthly price. As always, pay for one show and stick around for the rest of the night (space available and not special events), and students are free with student punch card.

10:25 Community JAM
Start the weekend early with Community Class, our weekly drop-in led by one of our experienced house team members. Join us in the theater for the biggest showcase of San Diego Indie improv teams on one stage. 3 hours, six teams, and a metric ton of laughter hosted by house team Camelflage ending with the Thursday late-night JAM! Once a month, check out Project Spotlight winners SUPER! The stage is all theirs all night long.

6:30 Happy Hour JAM with Black Belt Siblings
Always bet on the house! Fridays feature some of our best teams including BBS, Killer Giraffe, musical improv group Minor Suspension, and Armando group The World According To…
Plus, each week two teams will enter our new weekly CAGE MATCH, hosted by Killer Giraffe and decided by your votes! The winning team continues on until they are knocked out by a challenger.

7-8 Ladies only JAM first Saturday each month
Whether you are scoring points with a creative date or going off the brewery-beaten path with friends, Saturday is prime time for the laughter. Between dinner and drink specials and fast-paced, short-form improv from the RC Georges every other week at 7pm, we’ve got you covered. Saturday night is the night for new monthly shows such as Speechless and Visiting Artists from around the country. Watch for special announcements soon!

Our favorite night of the week brings students to the stage to show off their skills. Give ‘em a suggestion and see your friends performing with their classes or with their teachers in Greenhorn.
