Want to learn how to create slower paced, character and relationship driven improv all in just one location? Then learn from the very best, Chris George! His improv philosophy is based on the idea that players should be able to craft characters and situations that can “last indefinitely” and this workshop will focus on how to work in the moment, focus with your partner and start from the ground up.
A vital workshop for those who are interested in playing the monoscene, or are interested in learning more about the craft of creating grounded characters and playing in the moment.
Chris George has mastered monoscenic work through his teams Fourth Date and Mike & Chris. He has been improvising since 2003, when he joined his college improv team. He graduated from the iO Chicago training program in 2008, and moved to San Diego that same year. Since being in SD, he has founded the city’s first longform team, the Stage Monkeys San Diego, which he has directed since 2009. He was a founder of the National Comedy Theater’s Sunday Company, and was a guest instructor there as well. He can be found improvising with Mike & Chris, Minor Suspension, the World According To… and more!
