This week the cast of The World According to… invite Roy Anthony to the Finest City stage!
Every week, we invite a San Diego noteable personality, business owner or someone that makes us laugh to tell their stories as a part of this unique show. Instead of just acting out what is heard, this FCI house team uses these stories as inspiration to go crazy hilarious places.
Roy Anthony, Jr., retired in 2003 from teaching instrumental music. His teaching assignments in the past 41 years were Valhalla, Mt. Miguel and LaSerna High Schools and Whittier College. Mr. Anthony’s performing groups have traveled to Australia, Spain,France, Italy, Hawaii and the Eastern and Western areas of the United States,where they have been greeted with enthusiasm and consistently invited to return.
Mr. Anthony was honored as “1995 Teacher of the Year” for the State of California, in addition to “Teacher of the Year” for Mt. Miguel High School (three times), Grossmont Union High School District, and San Diego County.
In September of 2011, Roy Anthony became the Band Director of the San Diego Concert Band.
